supporting sanctions against the apartheid regime they
were never tested in the international arena.

'The Team that Never Played' investigates football in the
apartheid era and the continuing role on and off the field
played by the legends of those days.

Through a series of encounters with our core players,
their fans, helpers and protégés, we hear the stories,
see the prowess, learn the essence of the greater meaning
of the game and witness the grassroots process of a nation
rebuilding itself from within.
